D&D FACILITIES EXPANSION
Two significant capital expansion projects in 2021, including the expansion of our transloading facilities and a brand-new, 62,000-square foot warehouse, will benefit our customers in the pet food and feed processing industry. Our Delphos warehouse expansion is equipped with an automated inventory management system with the capacity to manage 6,500 pallet positions. This system tracks traceability, supplier and quality assurance data for more than 750 products.
BULK RAIL & TRUCK TRANSLOADING EXPANSION
D&D has also built out our bin volume capacity, adding two bins holding 1,000 tons each, to expand bulk rail and truck transloading operations. This upgrade provides faster, more flexible bulk ingredient conversion services, whether rail-to-truck or bulk package-to-truck.
Located on the CFE (Chicago, Ft. Wayne, and Eastern Railroad), D&D is uniquely positioned in Northwestern Ohio and ready to receive virtually any commodity in a safe and efficient manner. We have the capability and equipment for railcar to truck (hopper or pneumatic) and tote to truck trans-loading. Our commodity storage facilities (upright bins – with 100-ton capacity each), warehouse facilities, and a robust fleet of trucks and trailers provide the option of storing the commodity short-term or long-term offer animal feed and pet food manufacturers extraordinary speed and flexibility.
