Values to Build On
D&D’s guiding principles of a successful past and bright future
From the founding of D&D Ingredient Distributors, Inc. in 1976, Doc and Dorothy Miller focused on their customers, putting customer needs and relationships first. Today, the company has set down this vital principle and two others that will help prepare it for the future.
“D&D’s Core Values,” says D&D President Arnie Miller, “will be key to growing the business in the future. They will guide us — all of us D&D employees — in meeting the challenges ahead and turning them into business opportunities in 2021 and beyond.”
Integrity Matters
This Core Value states, “Know who you are at your best and be that employee, respect our customers and your team members, do what’s right, and follow through on our commitments.”
Quality First
“Know your job thoroughly,” the second Core Value states, “and provide best-in-class products and services that deliver premium value to our customers.”
Customer-Focused
The final Core Value sets out D&D’s business practice from the beginning: “Develop collaborative relationships that go beyond the immediate need and help our customers reach their long-term goals.”
“D&D exists,” Arnie Miller says, “to provide quality ingredients and best-in-class manufacturing services that feed and pet food companies recommend to others, that nutritionists prefer for their clients, and that our employees are proud of — every day!”
“Strong Core Values empower the D&D vision,” adds Mike Wright, Director of Operations and Business Development, “which is to be the partner-of-choice for outsource manufacturing services for the feed and pet food industries. They also give D&D employees a yardstick to gauge customer trust and respect.”
